Over the course of PELP’s lifetime, it has generated books, case studies, research notes, and teaching notes that have explored the dynamic of superintendents and CEO's and leadership team practice in districts attempting to bring improved practices and innovation to challenging and complex problems of practice. That scholarship is among the most widely disseminated and used by practitioners in the field in informing their actions. The increasing urgency and changing nature of the reform agenda in urban districts over the past twenty years have provided fertile ground for thinking about the interaction of context and organizations in the work of improving practice.
